Programs at field stations that provide informal STEM learning opportunities to the public are out-of-school and not graded. On the Outreach Survey field stations were asked to indicate if their programs 1) promoted public awareness of STEM knowledge AND 2) could be considered informal (not part of a for-credit course). Of the 395 programs profiled in this wiki, 316 are considered informal.
