Coastal Studies Lab Mission:
1. Support graduate and undergraduate education by providing field and laboratory resources.
2. Support faculty and graduate student research.
3. Offer public education through the CSL public display area and aquariums.
4. Offer guided field trips to schools and other organized groups.
5. Enhance educational outreach programs for students and teachers.
6. Assist with the stranding and salvage of sea turtles and marine mammals.
7. Participate through a contractual agreement with the Texas General Land office in the implementation of the Texas Beach Watch Program.
