Mission statement: The Cedar Mountain Science Center is a successful environmental education organization sponsored by Southern Utah University in partnership with all regional stakeholders. Funded by the Utah State Legislature and established in 1998, the Center forms partnerships with schools, national and state parks, land-use entities, community governments, and cultural organizations for the purpose of improving environmental education for teachers and students. The Center has a strategic location at the junction of all the major intermountain ecological provinces.
